Carly wears Hetty Midnight Blossom

"Once it was pretty clear having a 'normal' wedding wasn't going to be a thing in 2020 (and maybe not even in 2021!), we began to plan a micro wedding for our closest family and friends for the Fall in upstate New York. Knowing that timelines for wedding dresses are usually the most intense, I started to try and figure out what I could find to wear in just six short weeks. I honestly may have started hunting for the perfect shoes even before the dress! I had envisioned something velvety and after scouring Pinterest and Instagram, I landed on Harriet Wilde! And then the Hetty Midnight Blossoms felt like a perfect pairing to my mom's vintage dress from 1978. With three daughters, my mom has always hinted that it might be nice to take advantage of wearing her French lace wedding dress from Marshall Fields (a classic Chicago department store that's no longer in business). It was the first dress my mom tried on and my grandmother had it perfectly preserved. I had the dress altered and updated, adding an open back and front slit to show off my shoes and it felt so special to wear. In the few short weeks before the wedding, the Harriet Wilde staff was so great! I feel so lucky to have found the perfect something blue and something new to go with my vintage dress. I loved my shoes so much!!"
