Harriet Wilde was founded in 2008 by shoe designer Ruth Shaw, who named the brand after her great grandmother — a tribute that speaks to the deeply personal way the business has always operated. Ruth set out to create bridal shoes that stood apart from everything that had come before: bold embellishments, exceptional craftsmanship, and a commitment to genuine all-day comfort.
The brand's second collection was snapped up by Harrods, an early institutional validation that confirmed what brides had already sensed — that this was something different. Since then, Harriet Wilde has grown into one of the most respected independent bridal footwear brands in the world, stocked internationally and trusted by thousands of brides across the UK, Europe, the US, Australia and beyond.

Every Harriet Wilde shoe begins in our London studio, where Ruth Shaw and her team develop each collection from concept to final design. Shoes are then handcrafted by skilled artisan shoemakers in Spain using only the finest materials: luxurious duchess silk satin, plush velvet, soft kid leather, and hand-finished embellishments applied at our London studio.
Signature design elements include our iconic blossom embellishments — hand-placed metallic florals that climb the heel — alongside laser-cut leather detailing, organza ribbon bows, and classic block heels in colourways that go far beyond ivory. Forest green, midnight navy, burgundy velvet, powder blue, champagne gold: our collections are built for brides who want their shoes to say something.
Comfort is engineered into every pair. A padded leather sock and soft leather lining reduce fatigue throughout long wedding days. Heel heights span from elegant flats to platforms, with many styles available across multiple heights so brides can choose exactly the right fit for their day.
