We offer a free showroom collection (London) we will contact you by email to arrange a suitable collection time. Online returns can also be returned or exchanged at the London showroom.
USA/Canada – Standard shipping $22.75 is delivered using a tracked USPS or Canadian Post, time scales vary due to customs. If your order is required within 2 weeks please use the Express Courier as this is guaranteed service and includes custom times. The standard shipping doesn’t include a free return. Harriet Wilde offers a return service for returns/exchanges, we can generate a return label at a cost of $40, if you are returning for a refund this fee can be deducted from your refund. For exchanges you'll need to pay the return service fee of $40, we can send a request to pay and we will send the return labels, the cost includes the post cost to send the exchanged pair back to you with standard shipping, you can upgrade the return ship to courier if required. This service includes a free courier label to return goods for an exchange or a refund, the cost also includes a courier service to send the exchange back to you. UK full price the goods must be back with us in 28 days of the date you received (not when sent) to be eligible for an exchange or a refund, exchanges the return is complimentary, returns for refunds £5.99 will be deducted from your refund to cover the cost, this is for a maximum of 2 pairs. Any returns please email email@example.com and we can send the label, you'll need to print and attach then to drop off the goods with Royal Mail.
None UK orders full price goods must be posted back within 28 days of the date you received. We can help with returns, please get in touch.
All items with a sole message can be returned or exchanged.

USA, Canada returns & exchanges
Exchanges, we offer a free standard shipping for exchanges, if you ordered with one way shipping we'll need you to cover the cost of the return and we cover the cost to send the exchange.
For returns or exchanges we ask our customers to only pay for the return, we can generate a label for you this costs US customer $40 & Canadian customers $52, for returns this will be deducted from your refund, for exchanges we can send a PayPal request or an alternative way to pay. You'll need to print the labels, attach to the packing box, drop off or arrange a collection.
Worldwide returns, if you are shipping the goods back yourself and not using our return service please note the following:
Clearly mark the top side (same side as the address) of the package ‘BRITISH RETURNED GOODS’ in large, visible capital letters, not covered by stamps.
A customs declaration (CN22 or CN23) must be attached to the package. The declaration must include a complete and accurate description of the goods, their quantity and value. Our VAT number 936 2280 23 must also be included on the CN22/CN23.
We do not take any responsibility for returned items that are not received and request that you contact your postal or delivery service provider directly.
You will be responsible for paying postage/duty costs/charges associated with returns under this policy, including customs charges, if any costs are incurred the amount will be deducted from your refund. If you clearly mark on the address side of the carton and on any custom declaration, 'BRITISH RETURNED GOODS', make sure its not covered by stamps or stickers and no duty will charged.
Please note we DO NOT accept returns by FedEx. In the event goods are returned by FedEx Harriet Wilde will not be responsible for the FedEx import returns ancillary fee, this will be charged to the customer or deducted from the refund.

Shoes ordered with a sole message can be returned for a refund or exchange if sent back with the full price return time. For refunds the shoe cost will be refunded but not the cost of the message, exchanges we can add the message to your new sole for no extra charge.
US, Canada, Europe and all worldwide returns/exchanges, we would suggest you use our return service (see Delivery), as its quick and easy, if you do want to return using yourself, please use a signed for, guaranteed service, as we cannot be held responsible for losses or delays. If you are returning yourself the return delivery time cannot be more than 4 weeks.
Shoes and bags must not be worn/used and should be returned in a perfect and unworn condition, without blemish on the fabric, sole or lining, this includes shoes with the half insole and heel huggers stuck inside the shoe.
Insoles, half insoles & heels huggers, due to the nature of the product are none refundable if tried in shoes.
Please make sure that the shoes are tried on a clean carpet, if you try shoes on a hard floor surface the sole can be damaged. We ask not to remove the plastic cover on the sole unless you plan to keep the shoes, a full refund or exchange will not be valid if the plastic cover from the sole has been removed or damaged. If the plastic is damaged the refund will incur a cost of £25, if shoes are tried on carpet the plastic will not get damaged.
The shoes and bags must be returned in the original packaging and the protective outer packing box as they were received. The shoebox must be in perfect condition and not damaged, as we consider this to be part of the product, it must also include the cloth shoe bag (full price items only) otherwise the return or exchange will not be accepted.
Made to order, please note, we are unable to refund or exchange the final finished pairs of items made with this service, the order will be completely bespoke to the clients request and not part of our main range. Please do not worry as we always check/confirm with the client before making the finished item, this includes the size, style, colour and embellishments. Main range styles are stand alone items in the store (not including made to order), the items can be a plain shoe (example Amy Platform Blue) or can feature an embellishment (for example Amy Blue Blossom), these can be returned or exchanged under our normal returns/exchanges policy. Please note on main range embellished styles it can take a few weeks for the shoes to be finish and ready for dispatch, for urgent orders please check the status, we can expedite when possible: firstname.lastname@example.org
Shoes ordered with the bespoke embellishment, this is when an embellishment is selected on a plain main range style using the embellishment drop down menu, for example Amy Platform Blue. The plain shoes are a main range item but when we add the embellishment this becomes a bespoke item and when finished is none refundable. As part of this service we send shoes and an example of the embellishment for clients to try, this is in advance of adding the embellishments, we always check the customer is happy to proceed before we start to work on the finished pair with the embellishment. Plain main range shoes are sent for the purpose of trying and checking the size, please try on carpet as these are shoes from stock and need to be kept clean for other customers. At the point of trying the plain shoes (before we add the embellishment) the shoes/order can be canceled, this rarely happens but if the shoe doesn’t fit you can cancel the order, in which case the shoes can be returned/exchanged under our normal return & exchange policy. Only the finished item cannot be returned or exchanged. If the customer decides not to try the shoes and proceeds with the order we can still make the shoes but it is the customers responsibility, we cannot be held responsible if the size/style is unsuitable, we are unable to return or exchange at this point. It is always best to try the shoes and we recommend selecting an express shipping for customers outside of the UK. The finished pair will take 2-3 weeks to be hand crafted, this can vary at different times of the year, we can expedite urgent orders. The cost of the shoes includes the return shipping to try the shoes for confirmation and the cost to send the final finished pair, if the order is placed with standard shipping or express courier they will be sent with that service, after placing the order you can pay to upgrade to courier service. Shoe dye, for any shoes or bags dyed we cannot accept any returns or exchanges, we strongly suggest trying shoes in advance of the dye, customers will be liable for any postage costs, they are not included in the cost of the dye.
For all online orders, we cannot be held responsible if the shoes are not the correct size, it is the customers responsibility to check the size and style before the order is placed and delivered. If a mistake is made we will endeavor to help but if the goods have been dispatched the customer is liable to pay for the return shipping.
We do not have a return/exchange policy from sales taken at the London showroom, all sales are final, we can't accept returns/exchanges. If you are unsure and think that you might need to return or exchange please try the shoes at the showroom and place an online order to be eligible for the online exchange/refund policy.
For orders requested to be cancelled by the customer we are required to charge a fee to cover for the loss of the transaction fee and other charges that we will incur, the fee is £20 or US $26.
If we cancel the order there is no charge. We only charge when the customer requests to cancel. Please note if you order an incorrect item we can amend the goods on your original order, please contact to request any changes. This is better than asking to cancel and reordering.
