Congratulations you're engaged - what's next?

The dress. Most dress designers require around 9 months to a year to order or create your gown.

When should I purchase my wedding shoes? Some shops may ask you to have your shoes ready for your first fitting.

Here are what some of our real brides have said:

"Order after you have chosen the dress, well in advance of your fitting, then you will have time to find the perfect shoe and the heel height"

"Find the shoe before the dress, then you have your shoes ready to go dress shopping"

We recommend ordering at least 2 or 3 months before you have your toile fitting (template of your finished gown)

Set a budget and do your research

Try different styles

Every bride is different when it comes to deciding on how much they want to spend on wedding shoes. Our main range styles are priced from £180 to £270. For custom shoes prices start from £410. And at the moment we still have some shoes available in the sale.

Look online so you have an idea of the style of shoes you wish to have, whether a closed toe or sandal; block heel or stiletto, high or mid height or whether you want to stay traditional with ivory shoes or add a pop of colour to your outfit.

We have a variety of sandals and closed toe shoes and generally offered on 2 heights, a mid and a higher heel.

Virtual and London Showroom Appointments

Harriet Wilde has a beautiful showroom in north London the closest tube station is Archway on the Northern Line, not far from Kings Cross and Euston train stations, we offer both Virtual and showroom appointments.

Brides visiting the showroom have a 45 min 1-1 appointment with an experienced HW team member. We have the whole collection, including the handbags and hair accessories, you can try the shoes to check the fit, see the embellishments, discuss the customization services. Shoes can be purchased and taken on the day. If you can travel to London we strongly recommend a visit, our brides love this experience.

If you can't make it to London then book a virtual appointment, you'll have a video call with a team member this usually lasts between 20-30 minutes, you can see the shoes and embellishments and ask any questions that you may have before ordering.

The showroom is open from Mon-Sat from 9am to 5pm.

Do I need to book?

Yes we would advise booking an appointment, this is our busiest time and Saturdays can be fully booked. We have a showroom, not a shop, when you book you have the showroom all for you, this way we can spend time with you, you can try different styles and find a perfect shoe for your wedding day.
